- "It was the wounded crew, they were Imperials. They must have slaughtered everyone on the Trumpet's Call before coming to the flotilla."
- ―The rebel trooper Brand, to fellow soldier Charmer
In 3 ABY,[2] during the Galactic Civil War between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, an Alliance light freighter that operated under the name Trumpet's Call was captured by Imperial forces. The rebel crew of the freighter, including the captain, either suffocated or burned to death during the engagement as the life support systems failed. An infiltration team, put together by an Imperial Special Forces commander aboard[1] the Imperial-class Star Destroyer[3] Herald, then hijacked the damaged Trumpet's Call and took the light freighter to an Alliance flotilla in the Elochar sector. Pretending to be rebel survivors from the battle, the Imperial spies infiltrated the CR90 corvette Thunderstrike but were all killed not long after the rebels became aware of their presence.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The capture of the Trumpet's Call was mentioned in the 2015 novel Battlefront: Twilight Company, written by Alexander Freed.[1]
