Warning: This infobox has missing parameters: xyz, subsectors and unrecognized parameters: hides, hidea, imageBG The Caridan system[5][6][2], informally known as the Carida system[1], was home to the planet of Carida. During the Clone Wars, a Republic conference was held in the system, at the Valor space station.[4] In 11 ABY, the system was destroyed after Kyp Durron launched a resonance torpedo at the system's star, Caridan, from the superweapon known as the Sun Crusher. Nova Station was later built there as a waystation on the Perlemian Trade Route. By 40 ABY, the system was beginning to be known as the Carida Nebula. The area was defined by its reddish glow, which was essentially the frozen blood from billions of perished Caridans.[source?]
