Caryn was a human female smuggler and fence who operated during the Galactic Civil War and the subsequent time of the New Republic. She was invited to the Kijimi summit by Zeva Bliss of the Spice Runners of Kijimi, who intended to kill her guests. Bliss's plans were stopped by Spice Runner Poe Dameron, and the criminals were saved. Once free, Caryn attempted to run to her starship alongside several other guests.[1]

Caryn first appeared in the 2020 novel Poe Dameron: Free Fall, written by Alex Segura.[1] In Star Wars Legends, Caryn appeared as a smuggler in Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided.[2]
