The Castilon gorgs were a non-sentient subspecies of the amphibious gorg. Bitey was a member of the species.
Biology and appearance[]
The Castilon gorg[2] was a non-sentient[1] subspecies of the amphibian gorg. They were considered as a carnivorous creature, often eating large insects and other animals.[2]
History[]
In 34 ABY,[5] a Castilon gorg was acquired by the Resistance spy Kazuda Xiono after a deal he made with the merchants Flix and Orka in exchange for starship parts needed to fix his racing starfighter the Fireball. The Castilon gorg was originally planned to be eaten as lunch, but the pair merchants decided to keep the amphibian and named him Bitey.[3]
Behind the scenes[]

Castilon gorg was identified via a toy sold at the real world Creature Stall.
The Castilon gorg, albeit unidentified, first appeared in the two-episode pilot "The Recruit" of the first season of the animated series Star Wars Resistance,[3] which released on October 7, 2018.[6] The gorg subspecies was later identified in 2022 through a merchandise sold at the real world Creature Stall in the themed-land Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.[2] The gorgs were designed by Colas Gauthier.[7]
