Species of undefined sentience

This category is for species for which the context of the source material is either ambiguous or unclear as to whether they are sentient, semi-sentient, or non-sentient. It functions in a similar role as Category:Undefined social groups, Category:Individuals of unspecified gender, and Category:Individuals of unidentified species as a way to prevent fanon classifications that ignore the original source ambiguity.
