The Caviness Thorn crew was a bounty hunting crew that operated during the reign of the Galactic Empire.[1] Around 5 BBY,[2] the crew took a bounty for a smuggler and traveled to the[1] planet[3] Abregado-Rae where they were to take out the target. Whilst on Abregado-Rae, Thorn allowed the cyborg bounty hunter Beilert Valance to join the crew for the job as they were down a gun for the hit. As the crew made their way to the Abregado-Rae Spaceport where the target was and got themselves into position, Valance saw who the target was, his old friend Han Solo and attempted to stop Thorn from killing him. In the ensuing fight, the other two members of the crew were killed, which left Thorn to attempt to claim the bounty alone, but was stopped again by Valance. Shortly after, Solo left the spaceport aboard the Millennium Falcon.[1]
