- "The Centerpoint Party. Extremists who have borrowed freely from the rhetoric of the old Sacorrian Triad."
- ―Ebrihim
The Centerpoint Party was a political faction formed in the Corellian sector during the early stages of the Yuuzhan Vong War by an alliance of New Republic archaeologists forcibly removed from Centerpoint Station and also by independent-minded Corellians. They insisted that, due to the nature of the Corellian system containing five self-sustaining worlds, Corellia should be given five votes in the New Republic Senate as opposed to one. As such, the archaeologists hoped to be able to stop the use of Centerpoint Station as a weapon, whereas the Corellians hoped to be able to shape New Republic policy.
Following the Battle of Fondor, Thrackan Sal-Solo took control of the party, and soon thereafter its membership and influence in the sector swelled. He attempted to sign a treaty of friendship with the Yuuzhan Vong that would ensure the neutral independence of the Corellian Sector in return for aiding the Yuuzhan Vong in hunting Jedi. Instead, Supreme Overlord Shimrra forced Sal-Solo to become President of the Peace Brigade. When the party learned of this, they ejected him from the party, stripped him of citizenship, and exiled him from the Sector.
After the assassination of President Thrackan Sal-Solo, the Centerpoint Party served an advisory role in the coalition government formed to govern Corellia.
During the Second Galactic Civil War, Sadras Koyan was a member.
