- "I am Ceremony, Gala and Ritual droid designation CGR-80. You may call me "Seeger." Shall we begin your joining?"
- ―CGR-80
Ceremony, Gala, and Ritual droids were a type of protocol droid during the Cold War and Galactic War between the reconstituted Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic that were programmed to perform a wide variety of ceremonies and rituals for their clients. These ceremonies ranged from performing marriages through the Terms of Bonding to presiding over Rodian harvest festivals, as CGR-80 did.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
A Ceremony, Gala, and Ritual droid, CGR-80, first appeared in the conversation "A Modest Proposal" with Doc, a companion character for the Jedi Knight class in the 2011 BioWare video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, where he performs a marriage for female Knights and Doc.[1]
