Chags were small Hapan amphibians, said to be highly excitable and unpredictable.
During the Clone Wars, RC-3222 compared the actions of the Null-class Advanced Recon Commandos to that of Hapan chags, and towards the beginning of the Yuuzhan Vong War, Boba Fett matched up politicians to a bucket of chags.
Behind the scenes[]
Author Karen Traviss created and defined chags for her short story Odds, first published in Star Wars Insider #87. She later reused the creature for the eBook Boba Fett: A Practical Man. However, chags have never actually appeared in the Star Wars Expanded Universe; they are merely mentioned.
