Chagri was the native language of the sentient Chagrian species. A pleasant tongue, it was rarely heard outside of the Chagrian homeworld of Champala as Chagrians that traveled offworld learned Galactic Basic Standard with ease.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Chagri was mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the 2016 Star Wars Roleplaying supplement Lead by Example, which was published by Fantasy Flight Games.[1] The language originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the Alien Anthology, a 2001 roleplaying supplement for Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars Roleplaying Game.[2]
