Chalacta was a planet[4] located in the galaxy's Mid Rim.[1] that was the homeworld of the Chalactan people.[6] The human[3] Jedi Master Depa Billaba was born on Chalacta.[4] In the C.R.C. year 7941, Chalacta was represented in the Galactic Senate of the Galactic Republic by Yudrish Sedran.[5]
