- ―HoloNet News
Chalacta was once an uninhabited planet until it was colonized by the Chalactan Adepts.[3]

Circa 22 BBY, the Chalactans were represented in the Galactic Senate by Senator Yudrish Sedran, who opposed the Military Creation Act after consulting the wisdom of the Temple of Illumination.[1] Chalacta was the homeworld of Jedi Depa Billaba[6] and Sar Labooda.[7]
During the Clone Wars, the planet was located within Separatist space.
The Yuuzhan Vong seized control of the world shortly after arriving in Hutt Space.[2]
