Duke Chanward was a male aristocrat and a member of the Noble Court of the Anoat sector.[1] During the Iron Blockade, in which the Empire locked the sector down so that its occupants could not learn about Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine's death during the Empire's crushing defeat at the Battle of Endor,[2] Chanward's personal bodyguard was assassinated, and suspicion fell on the duke's own staff.[1] On a separate occasion during the blockade, Chanward designed a bold plan to capture an Imperial communications station and send a message to the public.[3]
The individual known as the Smuggler, an ally of the Noble Court, provided one of their crew to Chanward as a replacement bodyguard after his was killed.[1] The smuggler's crew also helped to make the duke's plan to capture the communications station a success.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
Chanward was created for the 2015 mobile game Star Wars: Uprising, which was developed by Kabam[2] and shut down in 2016.[4] The character was mentioned in two optional Crew Run missions. As this article assumes 100% game completion it treats both missions as having been successfully completed.[2]
