The Chespea Temple was a Jedi Temple on the forest planet Chespea. It was a very old Jedi Temple that had housed a small group of Jedi for many generations. It had golden roofs and was surrounded by forest. The practices and customs of the Jedi Knights who operated from the Chespea Temple differed in some ways, most notably in their independence.
In 230 BBY, after the organization of marauders known as the Nihil attacked the planets Aleen, Yeksom, Japeal, and Tais Brabbo and thus caused a refugee crisis, the Chespea Temple put up makeshift shelters around the temple to help and house those that had evacuated. However this made the temple a target, as a Nihil Cloud then fired on and destroyed the temple with the hope of sending a message to the Jedi that the recent and upcoming Nihil attacks were about them. All who were inside were killed, though the Padawan of Jedi Master Imgree was able to send a message to Coruscant to tell them that the temple was gone.
