- "That was my prerogative as Master Archivist. I denied many such requests. It was my duty! It remains my duty!"
- ―Jocasta Nu, to the Grand Inquisitor
Chief Librarian,[1] also known as Lead Archivist,[4] Jedi Archivist[5] or Master Archivist,[3] was a title held by the member of the Jedi Order who oversaw the vast Jedi Temple archives and Holocron Vault on Coruscant.[1] The position was once held by Restelly Quist.[6] Around the time of the Clone Wars, the Chief Librarian was the Jedi Master Jocasta Nu.[1] Nu believed that had Jedi Master Sember Vey completed her tutelage of Iskat Akaris, Vey might have come to succeed her in her position as[7] Chief Librarian.[1] During her tenure, Nu was addressed as "Madame Librarian."[8]
