Chief supervisor was a title and position used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars and during the Imperial Era by the ruling Galactic Empire.
Description[]
The title and position of chief supervisor was used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars and was used by the individual who oversaw B1-series battle droid production within droid production plants.[1] Subsequently, the Galactic Empire utilized the title within the Imperial Security Bureau, the secret intelligence and law enforcement agency of the Commission for the Preservation of the New Order. In the organization, ISB officers with the rank of commander could use the title, and were placed in command of ISB installations and operate secret agents. The Imperial rank insignia plaque for an ISB commander who served as chief supervisor was a single row plaque with four blue tiles.[2] Another version of a chief supervisor plaque was a single row of one blue tile followed by three red tiles.[3]
History[]
During the pan-galactic Clone Wars between the Confederacy and the Galactic Republic[1] that lasted from 22 BBY to 19 BBY,[4] the individual Poreni served as a chief supervisor in the Akiva production plant and announced to Supreme Martial Commander of the Separatist Droid Armies General Grievous that the latest batch of B1 battle droids was completed ahead of time and that per their agreement, would deliver them to Hakara for immediate deployment.[1]
In 9 BBY[5] during the Imperial Era, Commander Lank Denvik served as chief supervisor of the II-0810 Satellite Station, a clandestine listening station in the Nova Garon system. the Imperial Security Bureau of the Galactic Empire. Commander Lank Denvik held the title of chief supervisor. Commander Denvik also handled Bode Akuna, a fallen Jedi survivor of the Great Jedi Purge who began to operate against remnants of the Jedi Order. Denvik perished when Akuna betrayed him to Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader and killed Denvik for his failures.[2]
