The chimaera was a three-headed monstrous creature[1] known to the Unknown Regions Paccosh species and represented with arc-like spider legs, a cluster of small snakes resembling stalked eyes rising from the center of the arcs, and two much larger serpentine heads perched atop long barbed necks curving up and around. The large snakes were described as having their heads and open mouths pointing defiantly upward.[2]
Grand Admiral Thrawn's flagship, the Chimaera, which was named for the creature, bore a stylized depiction of a chimaera on its ventral surface.[3][4] The officers, stormtroopers and sentry droids of the Grand Admiral's 7th Fleet used a stylized representation of a Chimaera in their uniforms and pauldrons.[1]
