- "Well, you look like an overgrown Kowakian monkey-lizard, so I guess looks don't count for much."
- ―Kyle Katarn to Desann
The Chistori were a saurian sentient species. They were known to be fierce warriors whose independence had kept them secret from the archives of the Jedi.
Biology and appearance[]
Chistori had large snouts, with a hinged jaw and a mouthful of teeth, and small eyes. They were lithe but strong.[1] Like many reptilian species, they were cold-blooded, and like the Trandoshan, they had a durable hide made out of thick scales.[3]
Society and culture[]
The Chistori were impatient, bad-tempered, and quick to anger. They often resorted to violence, and had little use for discipline and order. Chistori had no knowledge of the Force, neither as the Jedi knew it, nor as a local religion. Thus the exceptionally few Force-sensitives born to this species were feared and persecuted by their fellow Chistori.[1]
History[]
A notable Chistori was Cydon Prax, right-hand man of Count Dooku during the Dark Reaper crisis of the Clone Wars. Another Chistori was the Dark Jedi Desann, who was an ally of the Empire Reborn. Many other Chistori in the galaxy found work as bounty hunters, soldiers and assassins.
Jedi Master Dass Jennir encountered and fought a Chistori bounty hunter on the planet Cato Neimoidia.
