- "At the Chorax system you have us skirting it by .25 parsecs. There's only one planetary mass in that system and the sun isn't that big."
- ―Commander Wedge Antilles
Chorax was a planet in the Rachuk sector, which lay between Commenor and Talasea. It was the sole planet of the Chorax system, a haven for pirates and smugglers.[3]
History[]
- "The data you used to compute the course indicated giving the system a wider berth, but that's because you're using merchant data and they're afraid of pirates and smugglers working the system. We're a squadron of X-wings. We have nothing to worry about."
- ―Corran Horn
During the Galactic Civil War, the Rebel ship Nonnah once crashed on Chorax. Subsequently, Rogue Squadron had to save the ship's crew from Imperial forces.[5]
In 6 ABY, during the Core Campaign, the Imperial Interdictor-class heavy cruiser Black Asp ambushed the yacht Pulsar Skate in the system.[3] During the Bacta War, Rogue Squadron raided the Thyferran Convoy Delta-Two-Niner in the Chorax system.[6]
