Dr. Chris Kempshall is the author of the 2024 book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire. He is a historian of the First World War and popular media representations of warfare.[1] He had previously co-written 2021's Star Wars: Battles that Changed the Galaxy alongside Jason Fry, Cole Horton, and Amy Ratcliffe for the franchise,[2] as well as 2023's "The Death Star Stratagem" for the Star Wars Insider magazine.
