Christopher Miller (born September 23, 1975) is an American film producer, director, and writer who is an executive producer for Solo: A Star Wars Story. Miller and industry partner Phil Lord were the original directors of the film,[1] but were replaced by Ron Howard.[2]
Miller was an intern at Lucasfilm Ltd. during production of The Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition and appeared as a stormtrooper in the Special Edition of The Empire Strikes Back.
In 2018, in response to if the concept of the Cloud-Riders from Solo: A Star Wars Story originated from the 1977 Star Wars Legends comic, Star Wars 9: Showdown on a Wasteland World!, or if it was just coincidental, Jon Kasdan, a writer of the film, replied on Twitter that it was no coincidence, as when former directors Miller and Phil Lord settled on swoop bikes for the group, Kasdan found the Star Wars Legends Cloud-Riders when browsing through Wookieepedia, and the name stuck.[3]
