The Cimigo was a YT-1300 light freighter owned and operated by the Rebel Alliance.
History[]
In the year 3 ABY, the Cimigo was stationed on the Rebel Outpost DS 5 in the Outer Rim. It was present on the platform during the defection of Imperial Admiral Harkov to the Rebel Alliance, whose flagship the Victory-class Star Destroyer Protector rendezvoused with Harkov's Rebel contacts on the platform.
Just as the initial Imperial reconnaissance mission led by Tan Maarek Stele tracked Harkov to the station, Cimigo departed the platform and fled the scene at top speed. The Imperial squadron immediately realized the futility of attempting to intercept the transport as it was beyond striking range, so they chose to ignore it in order to focus on sabotaging Harkov's resupply lines. Thus, the Cimigo safely fled into hyperspace.
