Cippa Tarko was an Arkanian female Jedi Initiate who lived during the High Republic Era. Because she was unusually gifted she was assigned to Jedi Master Yaddle.[1]
Biography[]
Cippa Tarko hailed from Arkania.[1] She was discovered by Jedi Master Yaddle,[2] who became Tarko's mentor.[1]
While traveling to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Yaddle contacted Yoda via hologram, and Tarko asked her whether Yoda was her brother. Due to a poor connection, Yaddle misunderstood Yoda's instructions and went to Dalna with Tarko. On the way, they met with Jedi Creighton Sun and Aida Forte as well as two of the Chancellor's guards, Lu Sweet and Priv Ittik. Landing on Dalna, Yaddle had the guards look after Tarko while the other Jedi investigated the Path compound. Tarko soon escaped and rejoined Yaddle, with Sweet and Ittik following behind her. Yaddle gave all of them stolen robes to disguise themselves as members of the Path of the Open Hand. On Tarko's suggestion, the group split up, with Yaddle and Tarko investigating the Path's huts, which they discovered were occupied only by the elderly and infirm. They found missile launchers hidden in the compound and returned to their ship to warn the others. However, Path members had found the ship, and they stunned Tarko.[1]
As fighting broke out, Yaddle hid Tarko in a vegetable storage structure and told her to stay there until Yaddle came back. However, Tarko disobeyed her and joined the battle.[1]
Personality and traits[]
Cippa Tarko had medium olive skin, white eyes, and white hair, which hung in four braids over her shoulders.[1] She was impatient and confident.[2]
Powers and abilities[]
Cippa Tarko was considered by Yaddle to be unusually gifted in the Force. She could use telekinesis to split apart a blue ice apple and throw people into the air.[1]

Cippa Tarko first appeared in the 2023 novel The High Republic: Cataclysm by Lydia Kang.[1]
