A circular saw or buzz saw was a cutting tool that was part of the equipment installed in several droid types. Pistoeka sabotage droids, also called "buzz droids," were armed with circular saws that allowed them to cut through the hulls of starships while in combat. P2-series[1] and R2-series astromech droids[2] were also equipped with circular saws; R2-D2 used his to escape from an Ewok trap during the Rebel mission to Endor.[3]
