Publisher's summary[]

This series of reformatted and newly colored newspaper strip reprints is winding to a close. And lest anyone forget, Han Solo's still got a bounty on his head – and there are plenty of opportunists who are dead-set on collecting. Han and the Rebels' recent adventures throughout the galaxy have not gone completely unnoticed by those interested in taking advantage of the easy money. In fairly short order, they meet up with an old foe who turns out to be a friend, and a couple of enemies – who will have a much greater role to play in Return of the Jedi. A series of adventures ultimately winds up with our heroes crash-landing on Hoth, searching for a treasure which may or may not exist. This penultimate issue is graced by a brilliant new cover by veteran comic-book artist George Evans.

WHAT HAS COME BEFORE
Luke continues to hunt for the
missing mind with, S'ybll, not yet
realizing what she really is, while
being pursued by what appears to be
the Night Beast. He falls from a cliff
and plummets to the ground, injured.
Elsewhere, Artoo and Threepio take off to
search for their master, attempting to
communicate one more time with Luke via
comlink. Luke realizes that S'ybll has stolen his
comlink to lure the other Rebels to her after
draining the Force, as well as the remaining life
energy, from Luke. Luke calls on the Force to hold off
S'ybll until Han and Chewie arrive. S'ybll exerts the last
of her psychic forces to tumble the ruins around Luke,
exhausting all her energy - and apparently her life - in
the process. After the confrontation with the mind witch, the
Rebel heroes finally arrive at their new base on Hoth, where
they're greeted rather rudely by Princess Leia, who reveals that
the Millennium Falcon was followed to Hoth by a strange ship. So
Han, Luke, and Chewie hop back into the Falcon to lead the strange
ship away from Hoth.
