- "The Mecrosa Order survived the Cleansing of the Nine Houses, but all its Sith and Force-sensitive members were wiped out."
- ―Annotation by Darth Sidious in the Book of Sith
The Cleansing of the Nine Houses was one of the conflicts of the Old Sith Wars,[4] occurring soon after the defeat of Exar Kun in the Great Sith War.[1]
The details were lost to history, but it appears to have been a civil war in the Tapani sector. The Jedi Order and House Pelagia battled the Sith-influenced Mecrosa Order of assassins, which was sponsored by House Mecetti. During the conflict, House Melissus and House Barong were absorbed by House Mecetti.
