Clone cold assault troopers,[3] also known as cold assault clone troopers[4] or Clone Snowtroopers[5] were a specialized variant of clone troopers within the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.[2] They were equipped with HT-77 Cold Assault Armor[6] and other cold-assault gear to handle combat in frigid environments.[7] They served on planets like Rhen Var, Toola,[2] and Orto Plutonia. They also flew freeco bikes on Orto Plutonia.[1] A platoon of clone troopers of the 501st Legion[1] donned cold-assault gear[7] and served as clone cold assault troopers during the One-Day War.[1] The Galactic Empire later modeled its old weather assault troopers after this type of clone trooper.[4]
