Plot summary[]
Book IV CODA |
---|
During Darth Vader's visit to Tatooine following the Assault on Cymoon, the Sith Lord slaughters an entire village of Tusken Raiders. A survivor manages to hide in the dunes until nightfall. He builds a fire out of fallen branches.
Later that night, he is discovered by a different clan of Tusken Raiders who ride banthas. He shows the clan his village and later recounts his story to the Tusken clan's shaman. Later, the shaman recounts how the other Tusken village was massacred by a lightsaber wielding warrior who drew his powers from one of Tatooine's suns. He describes the attacked as a black armored warrior wielding a red lightsaber.
His story frightens the other Tusken clan, who bury the remains of the fallen villages. They then gather wood and debris to build a giant "wicker man" in the likeness of Darth Vader. The unfortunate survivor is tied to the "wicker man" which is set alight while the other Tuskens worship the Darth Vader "wicker man."
