Commando Droid Diplomats were specialized models of BX-series droid commandos specialized for diplomatic occasions.[4] They differed from regular commando droids with their brown, yellow and blue colored plating and they wielded E-5 blaster rifles.[1]
History[]
Commando Droid Diplomats fighting the Senate Commandos.
A group of Commando Droid Diplomats were present at a Confederate–Republic peace conference on the Mandalorian capital Sundari[1] in 20 BBY.[5] During the conference the junior senator Lux Bonteri accused the Confederacy's leader Count Dooku to be responsible for the murder of his mother. On the order of the Separatist senators, three droids escorted him out of the throne room to a starship, where they were ordered by Dooku through hologram to execute Bonteri, but were defeated by Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano. The remaining droids chased Tano and Bonteri to the Sundari shipping docks, but were stopped by Captain Taggart's Republic Senate Guards.[1]
Later that year,[6] two Commando Droid Diplomats were stationed inside Unifar Temple, in the planet Onderon's capital city of Iziz. The droids escorted Ramsis Dendup, the former king of Onderon to Unifar Temple's throne to speak with Separatist puppet Sanjay Rash, Dendup's successor as king of Onderon.[7]
