"Two marks reverting from hyperspace. Star Destroyers Compliant and Enforcer from Imperial marshaling station Pii."
―An Imperial technician, to Wilhuff Tarkin — (audio) Listen (file info)[src]

The Compliant was a Star Destroyer used by the Imperial Navy during the Imperial Era. In 14 BBY, the ship was stationed at the Imperial marshaling station at Pii, along with another Star Destroyer, the Enforcer. When a rebel cell attacked an Imperial convoy near the Gulf of Tatooine, both Star Destroyers were despatched to the battle. However, by the time they arrived, the rebels had already been defeated by Moff Wilhuff Tarkin from the Executrix.

Description

A Star Destroyer, the Compliant featured both engines and a hyperdrive.[1]

History

In 14 BBY,[2] during the Imperial Era, the Compliant was stationed at the Imperial marshaling station at the planet Pii, along with the Enforcer, another Star Destroyer. At that time, a rebel cell led by Berch Teller attacked an Imperial convoy in a star system Coreward of the Gulf of Tatooine. With the attack, Teller aimed to impede the progress of the Imperial battle station[1]—which would later become known as the Death Star[3]—being constructed over the planet Geonosis, which was the convoy's final destination.[1]

Due to the attack, the Compliant and the Enforcer were dispatched from Pii to assist in the battle. However, by the time the two Star Destroyers arrived in the system through hyperspace, the rebels had just been defeated, as Imperial Moff Wilhuff Tarkin's Imperial-class Star Destroyer Executrix had arrived beforehand to protect the convoy. As the Compliant and Enforcer arrived, an Imperial technician on the Executrix's bridge informed Tarkin that two marks were reverting from hyperspace. Tarkin thought for a moment he had fallen into a trap, but the technician then clarified that the two marks were Star Destroyers despatched from Pii.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Compliant was first mentioned in the 2014 James Luceno novel Tarkin.[1]
