Soniee with a mobile computer

"The city's central computer told you? R2-D2, you know better than to trust a strange computer."
C-3PO to R2-D2, referring to the central computer of Cloud City[1]

Computers were hardware designed for mechanical control, data processing, and information storage. Astromech droids[1] and protocol droids[2] could interface with them, while living beings could access them through computer terminals or a portable datapad. Starships with on-board hyperdrives were equipped with navigation computers to make the calculations necessary for a safe hyperspace trip[3], while armed warships and starfighters were often equipped with targeting computers to aid their gunners and pilots in aiming their vessel's weapons.[3][4]

The central processing computer of a droid was also called a "droid brain."[5]

Those skilled at hacking into computer systems were known as slicers.[6]
