"At approximately 3900 BBY, Queen Tasia sponsored one of the last of her world's colonization missions. The three ships—Beneficient Tasia, Constant, and Mother Vima—departed Grizmallt and vanished from sight."
―A New Republic historical document by Voren Na'al[3]

Constant[2] was a colony ship[1] that, along with Mother Vima, served as a support starship for the colony ship Beneficent Tasia.[2] In approximately 3900 BBY,[3] the three ships departed the planet Grizmallt in an expedition to the dangerous southern quadrant of the galaxy.[2] The ships carried refugees fleeing a brutal civil war[4] who sought fortune and glory.[2] The expedition, led by the scout Kwilaan,[5] was sponsored personally by Grizmallt's Queen Elsinoré den Tasia and was blessed by a famous Jedi Master.[2]

After losing contact with Beneficent Tasia, the inhabitants of Grizmallt assumed that the expedition had failed. However,[2] much later, they learned that[3] the damaged ships had landed on the planet Naboo[2] in Wild Space.[3] The Human colonists, including a member of the Korden family,[6] established themselves on Naboo and developed a thriving society[2] after clashing with the planet's native Gungans. Constant was later mentioned in a New Republic historical document written by historian Voren Na'al in 36 ABY.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Constant was first mentioned in the DataBank entry for the Royal Naboo in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, a 2001 LucasArts video game.[2] The StarWars.com episode guide for "Crisis on Naboo," the eighteenth episode of the fourth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars,[7] which aired on February 10, 2012,[8] stated that a Grizmallt colony ship crashed on Naboo, however, it was not specified which one[7] of the three[2] ships crashed.[7]
