Consular Jedi, also known as Jedi Consular, were members of the Jedi Order who devoted themselves to the study of diplomacy or science, completely withdrawing from combat and warfare duties. Two such Jedi were Doctor Rig Nema, who served in the Medical Corps, and Madame Jocasta Nu, Chief Librarian of the Jedi Temple's Archives.[1]
Although Depa Billaba had studied to become a Consular Jedi, she was a master of Form VII lightsaber combat.[3]
