Cooking droid

Cooking droids were droids that were used to prepare food of varying types; most served either as automated chefs in lower-class eating establishments or as galley hands on starships of varying types. There were many models of cooking droids produced throughout the galaxy and by many different droid manufacturing corporations. While most cooking droids qualified as class three, some models were so simplistic that they instead were considered class five.

Refreshment droids were short, cylindrical-bodied, wheeled models resembling many astromech droid models. Their purpose, however, was more mundane. They served refreshments at public events such as garbage pit races. R2-D2 served a similar function while aboard Jabba the Hutt's luxury sail barge, the Khetanna.

A baker droid that was built using the frames of 2-1B surgical droids that catered social events. During the Clone Wars, one baker droid assisted Senator Padmé Amidala with a gathering held for Senator Aang.

In 20 BBY, a rectory droid working in the Jedi Temple dining hall was unable to determine if Grand Master Yoda's food was edible and attempted to take it away, resulting in a tug-of-war with the stubborn Jedi Master which ended with the bowl shattering and its contents flying everywhere.
