- "Brings me back to my gonkrock days. I miss playing with my band, Corellia's Not Dead. We didn't always get the best reviews, but we had the most fun."
- ―Rieve
Corellia's Not Dead was a gonkrock band that Hunters of the Outer Rim competitor Rieve once fronted. The four-member group was founded by singer Rieve and drummer Yemar in Hutta Town, Nar Shaddaa. The two met while Rieve, working as a courier, was delivering to the cartel Yemar worked security for, and they quickly became friends. They further connected over a shared love for the new style of music gonkrock. Within the following year, the pair added the female Zabrak low-end instrument musician Ully and the female human seven-string hallikset player Boornan. The latter musician connected her hallikset to a GNK power droid to create a unique sound. Per Rieve's suggestion, the group took on the name Corellia's Not Dead as a reminder to the galaxy that her homeworld would always survive.[1]
Over time, the band's reputation grew, and they played numerous gigs around Nar Shaddaa. Some of the gigs they played were unsanctioned, resulting in their performance being shut down. They gained an obsessive following due to the legendary and violent nature of their shows, but stayed in local venues. Nevertheless, bootleg recordings of their music were widely distributed on audiochips throughout the galaxy.[1]
Around 9 ABY,[2] Corellia's Not Dead headlined at Yoshoyan's, drawing in a massive, packed crowd. From their first song, the crowd erupted in enjoyment. However, a heckler grabbed the device that the sound system operator Gortri used to communicate with Rieve's commbud. He shouted into Rieve's ear, causing her to falter in her performance. His words evoked some of Rieve's trauma on her time in Coronet City, causing her to spiral. When Boornan approached the singer, Rieve used the Force to push her back. The heckler continued, and Rieve erupted, using the Force without control. She parted the crowd, approached the man, and began crumbling the structure of the building. Rieve was taken out of her rage by the sight of a terrified Jablogian fan. She fled from Yoshoyan's to her home, collected her things, then went to the spaceport to leave Nar Shaddaa.[1]
Several months later, Yemar had joined a new gonkrock band, this time as the singer. His band was performing at the Oasis Cantina on the Outer Rim planet Vespaara when he spotted Rieve in the audience. Yemar paused the show to invite his former bandmate and friend to the stage for a special reunion. The audience, many of whom were fans of Corellia's Not Dead, enjoyed the rendition of their song "Forever." After the performance, Yemar's new band had to go off-planet, but he re-established his connection with Rieve.[1]

- ↑ 2.0 2.1 Hunters: Battle for the Arena takes place after the fall of the Galactic Empire, which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates to 5 ABY. In the story, Rieve is 20 years old, but in a flashback, which takes place during the Imperial Era, she is 16 years old. So the novel cannot take place more than four years after the fall of the Empire. As it also takes place after Aran Tal joined the Hunters of the Outer Rim, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 9 ABY, the book must be set near that year. Rieve left the band immediately before the events of the book.
