Coruscant Prime was the star of the Coruscant system.[3] It was blue-white in color.[20]
At the end of the Yuuzhan Vong War, following the Battle of Yuuzhan'tar, many ships of the Yuuzhan Vong fleet were emptied of their crews and sent into the star to be destroyed, loaded with the weapons of the Yuuzhan Vong invaders. This was in accordance with the peace set out between Warmaster Nas Choka and the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances.[21]
Following the end of the Second Imperial Civil War, the body of Darth Krayt was sent into the sun to incinerate it and prevent the possibility of Krayt returning from the dead once more.[22]
