- "We're on our way to Coruscant, the central system in the Republic, on a very important mission."
- ―Qui-Gon Jinn to a young Anakin Skywalker
The Coruscant system, later called the Imperial system[9] and during Yuuzhan Vong War Yuuzhan'tar system,[10] was an eleven-planet system that contained the star Coruscant Prime and the galactic capital world of Coruscant.
History[]
This system was vulnerable to meteor showers. One of them, dated some time before 3956 BBY caused the loss of an orbital station. Another shower occurred soon after.[source?]
The outlying moons of this system were used for storage of garbage canisters transported there from Coruscant.[11]
During the Clone Wars, clone troopers were trained on one of the system's inner worlds, Vandor-3.[12]
Smuggling spice in the Coruscant system was considered to be a capital offense.[13]
