- "Ah! I know of him! A Cosian like me!"
- ―Tera Sinube, disguised as Lavalox Verzen, on Tera Sinube
Cosians were a species of long-lived sentient reptilian humanoids from Cosia. Jedi Master Tera Sinube was a Cosian who served the Jedi Order from the High Republic Era to the Clone Wars.
Biology and appearance[]
Cosians were a species of sentient reptilian humanoids[2] from Cosia[4] who had beaked mouths, four-fingered hands,[2] eyes with lids that blinked upward instead of down, and a long tail that ended in a tuft of hair. Cosians could be Force-sensitive.[1]
Society and culture[]
Cosians spoke Cosian, a trilling, chirping language. The language mingled with the sounds of their homeworld, Cosia.[4]
Cosians in the galaxy[]
Jedi Master Tera Sinube was a male Cosian who was a member of the Jedi Order.[6] Beginning as member of the Jedi during the High Republic Era,[7] Sinube later became a member of the Jedi High Council.[8] Though he later left the council, Sinube went on to mentor Jedi younglings and younger Jedi such as Ahsoka Tano.[9] In 9 BBY,[10] Obi-Wan Kenobi encountered the corpse of Sinube in Fortress Inquisitorius on the moon Nur.[11]
At one point, the Nu-Cosians, a genetically engineered subspecies of the Cosians, were created to colonize the planet Cos Secundu.[3]
