The Cosinga-class Heavy Corvette was a class of corvette that was used as a Luxury Star Yacht for Galactic Emperor Palpatine. The Imperialis[1] and its replica at the Jakku Observatory were ships of this class.[2]

Cosinga-class Heavy Corvette was first identified in the new Star Wars canon in the sixty-third issue of the De Agostini magazine Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon, published in 2015.[1] Part of the corvette's class name is shared with the first name of Cosinga Palpatine, father of Palpatine introduced in the 2012 Star Wars Legends novel Darth Plagueis, written by James Luceno.[3]
