"You and Artoo are friends, aren't you?"
"Oh, no! Companions, perhaps, but I would never call that stubborn, rube, malfunctioning little gob of grease a friend."
Nak Pitareeze and C-3PO[src]

A counterpart was one of a group of two or more droids who had been together for a long time and could function together at around 30-35% better than normal droids.[1]
