The coup on Thyferra occurred in 36 ABY during the Swarm War, when a group of Killiks and black membrosia-addicted Vratix took control of the planet Thyferra, seizing control of the the galaxy's supply of bacta along with it. Jedi Master Corran Horn was dispatched with a team of Jedi Knights to prevent the coup, but they were held up by Gilad Pellaeon's forces in a misunderstanding, and thus were unable to stop the Killiks from seizing control.
