Coven was the name given to a group or assembly of Witches on the planet Dathomir. During the Clone Wars, one particular coven of dark side-wielding Nightsisters was led by Clan Mother Talzin.

Behind the scenes

In real-life, the word coven used to designate an assembly or band of usually thirteen witches.[1] Due to the term's association with witchcraft, followers of the Neopagan religion Wicca also described their gatherings as covens. [2]
