- "You're going to have to relocate the covert."
"This is the Way." - ―Din Djarin and Paz Vizsla
A covert was a hidden location where Mandalorian clans resided following the Great Purge of Mandalore at the hands of the Galactic Empire. During the time of the New Republic, the surviving Mandalorians were scattered in coverts across the galaxy, preserving their way of life. One covert, situated on the Outer Rim planet Nevarro,[2] was home to the group known as the Tribe,[3] who practiced[1] the ancient[4] Way of the Mandalore.[1] After the Nevarro covert came under attack from the forces of the Imperial remnant led by Moff Gideon, one of its members, the bounty hunter Din Djarin,[5] intended to find other Mandalorians and chart a path through the network of coverts in order to return the Force-sensitive infant known as Grogu[6] to the Jedi.[5] The Armorer and Paz Vizsla, who were members of the Tribe that survived the remnant's attack, established a new covert on the space station Glavis Ringworld.[7] They later relocated to another covert.[8]
