Not much was known of the planet, but many historians had expressed interest in gaining access to the Imperial-controlled library.

The Pentastar Alignment and the Commerce Master Commissioner of the Velcar Free Commerce Zone had strictly prohibited all entry into the system and landings on the planet. However, a small scientific team was operating on the planet conducting archaeological excavations in the area near the library. The science team had a small settlement and a starship landing field on the planet.
