D'aarmont was a natural quartz outcropping on Bakura, located at the confluence of the East River and West River, on top of which sat the capital of Bakura, Salis D'aar. D'aarmont measured three kilometers in length and fifty kilometers in width, providing a suitable base for a thriving city. The outcropping was formed as the two rivers eroded the softer rock around it.[1]
Just south of Salis D'aar, D'aarmont also hosted the Bakura spaceport and, during the reign of Emperor Palpatine, an Imperial garrison.[1]
