DS-73-5 was an Imperial Navy TIE/ln starfighter[2] which was manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems.[1] The TIE fighter was active[2] around 0 BBY.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
The "DS-73-5" name was coined by Wizards of the Coast in their 2003 Battle of Yavin expansion of the Star Wars Trading Card Game. DS-73-5's card uses an image[2]—taken from the 1977 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope[4]—of a TIE fighter that was previously identified as "Black 4" in the 1996 A New Hope Limited expansion set of Decipher's Star Wars Customizable Card Game.[5] This article treats the TIE fighter in the Star Wars Trading Card Game DS-73-5 card image as a misidentified Black 4, and further avoids linking the DS-73-5 name to any of the onscreen TIE fighters in the 1977 film.
