A Death trooper squad was tasked with the safe transportation of a large kyber crystal from the Jedha system for delivery to the Tonnis sector in a freighter to rendezvous with an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer under the command of Captain Slavin. The freighter would, however, be infiltrated by the rebels Saw Gerrera, Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, and the droid Chopper, who sabotaged the crystal causing it to unstabilize, and release prisoners. The rebels would escaped as the crystal exploded, destroying the freighter, the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer, and killing Slavin and DT-F16's squad.[1]
