Dan Android was a masculine[2] PR droid[1] with blue photoreceptors.[2] By the year 4.3 ABY,[3] he was in charge of public relations for the Star Tours travel agency,[2] introducing other tours on Tourscan.[1]

Dan Android was created for Tokyo Disneyland's simulator ride theme park attraction Star Tours, which opened on July 12, 1989. He was named after actor Dan Aykroyd, which was jokingly referenced by a Spot the Droid poster.[2]
The locales that Dan Android advertised on the Tourscan[2] were actually recycled footage from Horizons, a now-defunct Epcot ride.[4]
