Dao-ben steamed buns were a type of bread that could be found on the Outer Rim planet Akiva. In the Imperial Era, buns of the bread were sold in a shop owned by the businessowner Master Hyor-ka in Akiva's capital city of Myrra.[1] In 4 ABY,[2] the junk dealer Temmin Wexley hid under the tarp of Hyor-ka's dao-ben steamed bun shop while spying on thugs working for the crime lord Surat Nuat.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Dao-ben steamed buns were first mentioned in Aftermath, a 2015 novel written by Chuck Wendig.[1]

  2. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary dates the reunion of Norra Wexley and Temmin Wexley on Akiva, which occurs during the rebellion on Akiva, according to Aftermath, to thirty years before the Hosnian Cataclysm, which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas places in 34 ABY. The mention of dao-ben steamed buns takes place during Akiva's rebellion, and can therefore be placed in 4 ABY.
