Dark Acolyte was a title held during the Clone Wars by Asajj Ventress[3] and Savage Opress during their time as disciples under Count Dooku, the public persona of the Sith Lord Darth Tyranus.[1] As an agent of the Confederacy of Independent Systems' leader, a Dark Acolyte had commanding authority over forces in the Confederacy military.[2] In at least the case of Ventress, she was further identified as a Sith acolyte.[4] After losing Opress,[5] Tyranus would go onto take on another apprentice, the fallen Jedi Quinlan Vos. In conversation with Ventress, Tyranus claimed Vos was a full Dark Lord of the Sith instead of a mere acolyte, yet Vos would ultimately betray Dooku.[4] In this text The Secrets of the Sith, Sith Master Darth Sidious identified Dooku's three students as the dark disciples.[6]
